Sugarbeet or Beet pulp is a by product from the processing of sugar beet which is used as fodder for livestock. Beet pulp is the fibrous material left over after the sugar is extracted from sugar beets. Sugarbeet pulp is considered to be have a high nutrition value and can be used for Milk and Meat Animals. Its effect in case of Milk animals can be easily seen after 5-6 days of the sugarbeet to the cows or buffalos.
Corn silage is a high energy feed source for animals. Being part forage and part grain, it has characteristics of both feed types and is a valuable component of dairy rations in regions where corn can be grown. This is most important for high-producing herds. Corn silage, with its relatively high energy content, is also well adapted for use in low-cost rations for fattening cattle.
